Working alongside Professor Anthea Jeftha, in Oral Medicine and Periodontology, and a skilled clinical team, the practice offers an integrated approach to advanced dentistry. Dr Zaheed Patel is a Specialist Prosthodontist who founded The Centre for Advanced Dentistry & Implantology with one clear goal in mind: to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles through advanced, high-quality care.
After completing his dental degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in 2000, Dr Patel gained extensive experience working in hospitals, private practice, and academia. His dedication to learning and teaching dentistry led him to specialise in Prosthodontics, a field focused on restoring smiles with precision, function, and aesthetics. He completed his Master's degree in Prosthodontics in 2009 and has been in private practice ever since.
Dr Patel is also affiliated to the University of Western Cape Dental School, on a part time basis, where he lectures post-graduate students.
Patients know Dr Patel for his gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. Whether through advanced implant treatments or restoring natural teeth, he takes pride in offering personalised care that combines science, technology, and artistry.

Professor Anthea Jeftha is passionate about helping her patients achieve healthier smiles and overall well-being. She has been caring for patients since graduating as a dentist from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in 2001 and later specialising in Oral Medicine and Periodontology, where she completed her Master's degree in 2009. Professor Jeftha currently holds a position as the Head of Department at the University of Western Cape's Oral Medicine & Periodontology.
With a warm and gentle approach, Professor Jeftha focuses on understanding each patient's needs and creating personalised treatment plans. She believes in looking at the bigger picture of health, carefully considering how gum health is connected to general well-being.
Alongside her private practice work, Professor Jeftha also teaches at UWC's Faculty of Dentistry, where she mentors and guides future dentists. Patients appreciate her thorough, caring manner and her commitment to providing treatment that not only restores oral health but also improves quality of life.
For Professor Jeftha, dentistry is not just about treating problems; it's about working together with her patients to prevent disease, build confidence, and create long-term solutions for healthier smiles.

Belinda Simane has been a registered dental assistant since 2021 and holds a certification in basic life support. She began her dental career at Dr Patel's practice, where she quickly discovered her passion for patient care and advanced dentistry.
Working alongside Dr Patel, a specialist in Prosthodontics, has given Belinda valuable experience in advanced treatments and implantology. More importantly, it has shaped her approach to patient care, combining technical knowledge with empathy and compassion.
Belinda is known for her calm and reassuring manner, helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after their procedures. She understands that visiting the dentist can sometimes feel overwhelming, and she takes pride in creating a supportive environment where patients feel at ease.
For Belinda, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is seeing a nervous patient gradually grow more confident and relaxed with each visit. Her passion for dentistry, combined with her caring personality, makes her a trusted and valued member of the team.

Nazlee is a proud mother to her beautiful daughter, Layla. She considers herself a warm, fun-loving individual who enjoys shopping and cherishes quality time with her family.
She applied for the position of a Dental Receptionist at Dr Patel's practice as she was seeking a challenge, a fresh start to something exciting, meaningful and stable.
Since joining Dr Patel's Team, she has developed a deep passion for her role, especially in helping others. Every day brings new learning opportunities, and she has shown tremendous growth both professionally and personally.
